221 RESTAURANT & BAR, the Hotel’s multi-award winning restaurant, offers one of the best dining experiences in the Hunter Valley. Only the highest quality and freshest ingredients are used, with locally sourced produce a priority. To accompany your meal there’s The Wine List Selection – showcasing a collection of quality wines made by some of the Hunter Valley’s best Winemakers.
There are two different main menus for the Restaurant:
1) the Daily Menu – Lunch every day and Dinner Monday to Wednesday nights – more casual, with gourmet wood-fired pizza options.
2) the Thursday to Sunday Evening Menu – an à la carte menu with some alternative main course selections.
The menus are seasonally driven, with a Specials Board that changes frequently. There’s also Degustations with pre-booking, a fixed-price Function Menu for groups and a Kids Menu (under under 12 yrs),
As well as the Restaurant Menus, there’s the popular Bar Menu and Café Menu. The Café features a Breakfast Menu, house-made pastries, cakes, sweet selections, light meals, wood-fired pizzas to eat in or take away and the best coffee in town.

Food & Wine Menus
We have a dedicated Pastry Kitchen with expert Pastry Chefs who can bake to order. Cakes are made in-house using only the best quality ingredients. Gluten free and special dietary requirements can be catered for. Choose from: Flourless Chocolate Fudge, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting, Victoria Sponge with Vanilla Cream & Berries, Passionfruit & White Chocolate. Custom cakes also available. Prices dependent size and/or number of guests. To order, please place your order one week prior to your party/event by phone or our contact form. Please Note: Charges apply if you bring your own cake.
Complimentary Bus Transfer
For guests staying in the Hunter Valley area we offer a complimentary bus transfer that will pick you up and drop you back safely after your meal. Our courtesy bus transfer is available to all guests with confirmed Restaurant Reservations and can transfer up to 11 guests at one time. The bus pickup time may need to be changed slightly due to demand on the night. If so, we will phone you on the day to confirm.
The Vineyard & Kitchen Garden
The hotel has a kitchen garden and vineyard at Oak Farm in nearby Quorrobolong (10 minutes away). The kitchen garden produces organic herbs, heirloom, vegetables and edible flowers exclusively for the restaurant – as well as free-range eggs every day. The vineyard produces the hotel’s house Sparkling Chardonnay (made in the Champagne style), Chardonnay and Verdelho.
